it's amazing that i can even type with all of the good smells wafting up from the kitchen ::inhales deeply::
wow, i totally wish i could say i was cool and dont like my family, but there's something about these people that's just so damn fun!
yesterday the movie was sold out ::sad:: but because we were all disappointed, my uncle took us out for ice cream!
look, i know that sounds insane, having ice cream when it's friggin snowing out, but it was some good ice cream man..
came back and everyone was so tired they had gone to bed, so no games ::sad::
but i was tired too so it all worked out
today was EXCELLENT!!
we had an all day ski lesson with Chalky. he sang Beatles songs at the other instructors as we passed all of the other private lesson people on the slopes
it was so totally exhilarating
i had awoken rather stuffy and groggily this morning, but the moment we were on the lifts, i was so wide awake it was amazing. we went to the very top of the highest mountain in the Beaver Creek ski resort/area/place and simply raced halfway down the mountain until we got to the mountain top cafe/lodge place
after a few more rounds of up to the top and rushing down (we were on blue squares today because yesterday was the first day of ski season and the black diamonds were steeper than usual -__-) we stopped in the cafe and had hot chocolate
and we were at it again for the entire morning until lunch. and then we were at it again until around 3:30 in the afternoon
oh em gee, there really is nothing to compare with that feeling you get racing down the mountain front...
the steeper the better, it's almost as if you're free-falling.
the snow seems to take on new properties and even though you're all bundled up and your feet are hidden under layers of socks and giant boots, you become so sensitive to every turn you make
as rosie would say (or write on my arm...) "Whoo....."
haha, cept with a bit more enthusiasm
so tonight (in half an hour or so, it's barely 5:45 here) we're going to gorge ourselves and play games because i only have a half-day lesson tomorrow and i can sleep in
florida is going to be such a drag when i get back
not to mention that i'll have gained about 15 pounds..>.<
but this is amazing, i swear, next time i'm going to bring like 3 or 4 people with me so they see what i'm talking about
ohhhh! better wrap this up, we're about to take our family picture!
i hope you all had a fun time in the most friggin american holiday ever!
baka green skiis away...
